David Birenbaum is a Senior Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Birenbaum retired as a partner of Freid, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson and is of counsel to the firm. He is a former U.S. Ambassador to the UN for UN Management and Reform and server from 1994-1995. After leaving government, he organized and chaired the Emergency Coalition for U.S. Financial Support of the UN.
